Deficit deadlifts:

  • 60kg, 5 reps x 2
  • 80kg, 2 reps
  • 80kg + pair of 13kg chains, 2 reps x 3
  • 82.5kg + pair of 13kg chains, 1 rep
  • 85kg + pair of 13kg chains, 1 rep
  • 87.5kg + pair of 13kg chains, 1 rep
  • 82.5kg + pair of 13kg chains, 1 rep

Safety bar box squat (below parallel):

  • 25kg, 5 reps
  • 35kg, 5 reps
  • 45kg, 5 reps x 2

Glute & ham raises: 10 reps x 5

Pullthroughs (blue band): 10 reps x 5

Landmines: 20kg bar, 5 reps x 3

Upright rows: 15kg bar, 12 reps x 3

Dumbbell rows: 15kg, 12 reps x 3

Cable crunch: 30kg, 10 reps x 3

My new training partner is ace, but stronger than me! Oh dear, it’s brought out the jealousy monsters a bit. That said, she is about 10 years younger, 6” taller and maybe 10kg heavier than me. Plus she used to play rugby. So, it’s not really surprising she’s strong 🙂

Still, should be a good challenge for me…
