Tuesday is normally a no-lifting day for me, but I decided to bite the bullet & join Urban Kings, a gym near my work today. I’ve been contemplating it for ages and had a tour on Thursday; it’s pricey but I want to have a go at their conditioning classes, so I hope it’ll be worth it. 

As I only joined today, I just did a little workout based on the snatch drills I learned over the last 5 weeks. 

All with a technique bar (5kg?) and 5kg plates; each move 2 sets of 5 reps:

  • Lift to knees, then overhead squat
  • Lift & bounce, then snatch balance
  • High pull, then snatch from the high hang

Front squat: 20kg, 5 reps; 30kg, 5 reps x 3

Jerk: 20kg, 4 reps x 3

Pressup: 5 reps x 3
